Description
Having the lightest bar tape on the market doesn't mean you have to sacrifice comfort. At only 1.8mm thick, this bar tape still manages to supply plenty of all-day comfort and Lizardskins' famous tacky grip. At only 50g per set, including the plugs, this is the tape that graces the bikes of most pro's dedicated climbing machines when every little gram counts. At 82 inches long per roll, there will be enough to wrap any size and shape bar. Only 50g per set (including bar plugs) Lightest tape on the market Superior grip All-day comfort Easy to clean

I really like this tape on my TT bike. Since I am in aero position almost all the time, I didn't need much padding...there is certainly some there, but it is irrelevant on the extensions and not much more important on the bars. Feel and grip, on the other hand, is very important. Your hands will be on it for hours, you don't want it to feel tacky or slick, at the same time you want grip when you need it. I used the Lizard Skins DSP 2.5 mm tape previously and while dry it had good grip although it felt a bit tacky, when wet it would just get slick and was almost scary when coming out of aero. Not so with the Race Tape, sweat, rain, whatever...it stays grippy without feeling tacky. On a road bike, I'll stick with more padded cork tape to absorb the bumps of the crappy roads in ride on, but will be sticking with this on my TT bike.
